Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy focuses on proper body mechanics and posture to correct patterns of tension and dysfunction. Yoga is considered “the science of breath”. Deep breathing is first and foremost our most important physical-mental-emotional movement. To choose to take a deep breath is to choose life. Specific body postures (Asanas, Mudras), intentional breathing and guided meditation are yogic tools which promote balance, stability and mobility of mind & body for improved health and overall wellness. Observe the natural movements of young children and the animal world: they stretch and strengthen their bodies in response to emotional stimuli. We hope to teach Yoga as more than an exercise class.
